Weather forecasting will never be the same with PESSL Instruments and Siap+Micros

Food self sufficiency is a vital issue of any state. New IT technologies provide wide opportunities to react to weather challenges. NSP company, financed by UNDP, FAO and WB has accomplished and is engaged in several projects for installation and startup of AWS in accordance to the requirements of these organizations. The goal of these projects is to mature the weather forecasting to a level usable in agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.

NSP company is a certified partner of PESSL Instruments, the developer and producer of weather observation equipment. The Suusamyr project has been fulfilled in accordance with the requirements of UNDP. All required documentation has been developed, including blueprints, schemes and authorizations. While developing the base structures the harsh environment of the mountain terrain has been taken into consideration. NSP company has produced all required fittings locally. The civil works have been done under difficult conditions. The project has been successfully commissioned to UNDP in compliance with the local regulations.

The FAO project aimed installation and tuneup of AWS in Kara Balta and Nooken. In Kara Balta a new AWS was installed from zero. the Nooken part of the project included upgrade of additional sensors, tuneup and commissioning. NSP engineers have performed training for local farmers - the final beneficiaries.

Currently, NSP is engaged in WB project of upgrade and renovation of the 37 existing AWS. The project includes supply, installation and startup of AWS into unified automated weather forecasting net. The final beneficiary of this project is Kyrgyzgidromet. The project is implemented by Siap+Micros company, European leader of weather observation systems.
